Violence against women cannot be ignored or condoned.
Those were the words of Acting British High Commissioner to Fiji Shaun Cleary while handing a cheque of $78,237 to United Nations Development Fund for Women Regional Programme Director Elizabeth Cox this morning.
Cleary said violence against women destroys lives and they are pleased to assist UNIFEM.
Meanhile, Regional Programme Director Elizabeth Cox said the biggest difficulty they face is lack of funding adding with the money provided by the Commission, they will be able to reach out to many organizations across the Pacific.
