The United Nations and the Commonwealth have agreed to facilitate the upcoming political forum in Fiji.

President Ratu Josefa Iloilo wrote to the Secretary General of the Commonwealth and the United Nations to convene a forum in respect of the proposed electoral reforms to which the UN and Commonwealth have agreed.

The Commonwealth Secretary General's representative to Fiji, Sir Paul Reeves who arrives in the country today accompanied by Commonwealth Secretariat's political advisor, Albert Mariner will meet with the Interim Prime Minister and the political parties to formulate the terms and reference and arrange other matters for the forum to convene next month.

The Forum will bring together government and political parties to discuss and agree on the way forward regarding the Electoral Reform recommended by the National Council for Building a Better Fiji.
