UN Team To Meet NGOs
ECREA and the Movement for Democracy will be meeting the group on Thursday while the Fiji Women's Rights Movement will meet them tomorrow however the Fiji Women's Crisis Centre will not be making the meeting as executives will be unavailable due to other work commitments.
Meanwhile, Fiji Council of Social Services Executive Director Hassan Khan said they have not received an invitation and said it would have been good to be invited as they are the umbrella NGO that deals with community activities adding they could contribute to a new and emerging Fiji.
The team has met with the SDL and NFP and will meet Labour leader Mahendra Chaudhry today while former Opposition Leader Mick Beddoes confirmed he has received an invitation for a meet on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the Party of National Unity from the west is expected to meet with the United Nations and Commonwealth Joint Technical Team this Friday in Suva.
The UN and Commonwealth team is also expected to meet with Interim PM Commodore Bainimarama and Interim Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum later in the week.
