A 79 year old UK national currently staying in Savusavu appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon charged with damaging property, common assault and attempted larceny.
It is alleged that on the 24th of November last month David Lenard Bryant smashed the glass of Fiji TV and also attempted to assault a staff of Fiji TV.
It is also alleged that he stole groceries from MH and hid them in his underpants.
No plea has been taken and the accused has requested for legal advice. He has been remanded in custody till 2nd January.
