Fiji's U-21 netball shooter Cecilia Sorby is likely to be dropped from the national side that will be touring New Zealand in February because her father is a military officer.
Sorby is the only player with military connections and indications that she wouldn't be granted a visa to travel with the Fiji side for a 4 match tour of New Zealand in February.
This is not the first time Netball Fiji will be face this setback also last year Aliti Seru was dropped from the Fiji team that took part in the World Netball Championship because her husband was a military officer.
Ealier on today the National U-20 Men's Touch team has withdrawn from the World Championships in New Zealand next month.
Fiji Touch President Inoke Veresa said there are certain reason's of pulling out.
He said they won't be able to take their best team after most of the players were denied visa by New Zealand immigration, as their players families have connections to the Military and the Interim Government representatives.
Veresa said they have also informed the Federation International Touch of their withdrawal.
Fiji will also lose their 4th world ranking for not participating.
