The Amani Makoe led side drew nil-all against Papua New Guinea on Thursday afternoon.
The Fiji team, in trying to book a spot in the World Cup with the likes of Misiele Draunibaka and Akuila Mataisuva, boost a formidable team that has played together for some time.
In other matches today, Papua New Guinea will face American Samoa while Solomon Islands will play tournament favorites New Zealand.
