More people have been found to be suffering from Typhoid in the Northern Division.
The Sub Divisional Medical Officer of Savusavu, Dr Mohammed Ishaaq said 6 people had symptoms of Typhoid out of which two are admitted in hospital while four have been treated in their villages.
He said he made a trip to two remote villages in Buca Bay where he said the conditions of the toilets are pathetic.
Dr Ishaaq said the residents in these two villages also face transportation problems which is why they are unable to go to the hospitals when they get sick. He said the two people who are currently admitted at Savusavu hospital have been sick for the past two weeks and unavailability of transport made it impossible for the family members to take them to a doctor.
