Two people are in police custody in Labasa for allegedly keeping a 13 year old boy under lock and chain for two days.
It is alleged that the two further tortured the boy and also poured warm sugar syrup on the victim’s body.
Neighbours tipped off police after seeing the victim locked for two days without food.
Police rescued the victim yesterday and took him to hospital.
Assistant Police spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said two people are currently being questioned by Labasa Police.
