Two people have lost their lives following a head on collision between a twin cab and a 10-wheeler truck in Bua.
Police confirm a 22-year-old mechanic and a 48-year-old Chinese national, who were passengers of the twin cab, died instantly at the scene yesterday.
According to police, the truck carting bauxite swerved onto the path of the oncoming twin cab.
The driver of the twin cab received injuries and is admitted at the Labasa Hospital.
The truck driver did not receive any injuries.
Police are now awaiting post mortem results.
The road death toll now stands at 28.
