Two violent prisoners who were convicted of Rape and Robbery with Violence are now on the run.
Maciu Tabanibola who was serving 9 years for Rape, escaped from the Naboro Maximum Prison yesterday afternoon. He was working in the Vegetable garden when he fled.
Tabanibola is in prison uniform and is armed with a cane knife.
Another prisoner, 24-year-old Dwyane Hicks escaped from the Natabua Prison yesterday afternoon during a working party.
Hicks is serving a 5 year old jail term for Robbery with Violence and House breaking. He is also armed with a cane knife.
Media Liaison officer Atunaisa Sokomuri said both are dangerous and can strike anywhere.
Police are calling for information and have also warned members of public that harboring prisoners is a serious offence and anyone found doing so will be prosecuted.
