Two popular nightclubs in Suva have been ordered to close by the
Liquor Tribunal after a meeting yesterday.

Tribunal Chairperson, Magistrate Ajmal Gulab Khan told Fijivillage News that Bali-High Nightclub and Birdland have been ordered to close due to license and safety issues.

Magistrate Khan said the Bali-High Nightclub have been operating without a proper licence while Birdland nightclub's license has been suspended due to safety reasons.

According to Khan it has been established that the nightclub is in clear breach of Occupational Health and Safety issues.

The Liquor Tribunal met after numerous complaints from the members of the public.

The Tribunal will meet again on 18th of next month to deliberate on the next step.
