Two karate students are heading to Japan next week to represent Fiji in the 19th World Karate Championships.

Lenoa Beato, who is a medal prospect after a successful outing during the Pacific Games in 2003 and Marika Roqu have been training for the past few weeks and are ready for the meet.

The meet that will be held next Thursday will also commerate the 38th anniversary of the Championships.

The two member team will be leaving the country next Monday with championships starting the next day.
