As the prosecution closed its case against the three men charged in relation to the Agriculture Scam, High Court judge Justice Isikeli Mataitoga has stated that two of the three accused have a case to answer.

Judge Mataitoga said after listening to the evidence, he is satisfied that Pita Alifereti and Josefa Tapele have a case to answer.

However, he added he is willing to hear submissions from the accused number three Peli Kete on a no case to answer.

He has adjourned the case to 2pm to hear submissions from Kete's lawyers and will deal with the matter in the absence of the assessors.

The High Court judge is expected to make a ruling on the no case to answer tomorrow morning.

Kete along with the other two have been charged with the $16 million Agriculture Scam between 2000 and 2001.
