After months of eagerly waiting for the sequel to the box office hit Twilight, movie goers today packed Village Six Cinemas to be one of the first to see New Moon.
Head of Cinema Operations Riddhi Damodar said today's first 10am screening was sold out and this was expected as some patrons had reserved tickets well in advance, with some lining up for tickets early in the morning.
We asked some of those who had just watched the movie about what they thought of the sequel.
New Moon is a fantasy romance novel by author Stephanie Meyer and is the second book in the Twilight series.
The book was originally released in 2006, following the successful publishing of Meyer's debut novel Twilight, and it quickly moved to the top of bestseller lists, peaked at number 1 on both the New York Times Best Seller List and USA Todays's Top 150 bestsellers and wast he biggest selling children's paperback of 2008 with over 5.3 million copies sold.
