Vodafone Fiji 7s playmaker Jerry Tuwai has a lot more to play for should he be selected for the Rio Olympics team this Saturday.
Tuwai and his wife had their first child last month, and he wants to do the best for his family.
From humble beginnings to becoming one of the best 7s halfbacks on the planet, Tuwai is a happy little man following the birth of his daughter a few weeks after they won back to back World Rugby Sevens Series titles.
The 27-year-old says he never dreamt of reaching this stage and he hopes to do better.
Two spots are available for the half back’s position and Tuwai is competing with Amenoni Nasilasila and Emosi Mulevoro.
The training squad will have a day off today before having a session at the Sigatoka Sand Dunes tomorrow.
Meanwhile Jarryd Hayne flies out to Sydney today.
Prime Minister and President of the Fiji Rugby Union, Voreqe Bainimarama is expected to announce the team this Saturday.
Fiji will take on Brazil in their first game at 4.30am on August 10th, they will then face Argentina at 9.30am before taking on USA at 4.30am on August 11th.
