Former Digicel Fiji Sevens team and Wardens rep Pio Tuwai will captain the Samurai Barracudas team for the 2-day Uprising Fiji International Sevens that will kick off on Friday.

Coach Sailosi Naiteqe Senior has also named veteran Lemeki Duidomo and Nasoni Roko in the side alongside former Suva Grammar Under-19 rep Filimone Seru and Josevata Bola.

The Samurai Barracudas side is in BSP Pool 3 with the Wayne Pivac coached Auckland Invitational, FMF Warriors and Ratu Filise and they meet FMF Warriors in their first game.

Organizers of the Uprising Fiji Sevens have confirmed that the winner of this year’s tournament will walk away with $25,000 and the runner-up with $5,000.

The Uprising Fiji International Sevens men’s competition kicks-off at 10am Friday at the TFL Stadium between the Digicel Fiji Barbarians and Marist.
