Vodafone Fiji 7s rep Pio Tuwai has been requested by national coach Ben Ryan not to feature in any more games in the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s for his Tokatoka Resort Westfield Babas side.

Tuwai featured in their first game where they beat New Zealand based Wellington side 10-0 despite being advised by Ryan not to play in the tournament. 

Benito Masilevu, Leo Naikasau and Osea Kolinisau were also told not to play this weekend as they are still recovering from injuries.

Westfield Coach Epeli Lagiloa said they will rest Tuwai as requested by Ben Ryan.

Lagiloa added that they are on their way to defending their title.


Looking at the results, Hideaway Hurricanes with Apisai Domolailai, Sakiusa Gavidi, Viliame Mata and Jasa Veremalua thrashed Saint Theresa 49-0.

Marist One humbled New Caledonia 45-0 while Joeli Lutumailagi scored two tries for his Tabadamu side as they hammered Deuba 33-0. 

Former national reps Setefano Cakau and Jone Vota are also playing for Tabadamu.

Lepani Botia and Waisea Nacuqu guided Wardens Gold to an impressive 36-0 win over Vunisakikula while Samisoni Viriviri and Livai Ikanikoda's Police side defeated Tauraga 17-7.

Army with the services of Emosi Mulevoro, Henry Seniloli and John Stewart beat South Sea Marina 29-0.
 
Emosi Vucago and Jona Tuitoga's Digicel Covenant Brothers team lost to Red Rock with Eroni Sau and Waisake Raselala 12-5.

Coral Coast 7s Champions Yamacia thrashed Fiji Bitter Mokani 47-7.

Yamacia looked impressive with Semi Kunatani, Mosese Mawalu and Donasio Ratubuli.

Meanwhile, Vodafone Fiji 7s coach, Ben Ryan will announce a 16 member squad tomorrow to prepare for the Japan 7s which will be held on the 22nd and 23rd of this month.
