Tokatoka Resort’s lanky forward Pio Tuwai is ready to return to the Digicel Fiji 7s team for the upcoming Dubai 7s tournament.

Despite losing their first match, Tuwai put on a sterling performance to help his team beat Wardens Gold 26-14 to stand a chance of qualifying into the cup quarterfinals of the Bayleys Coral Coast 7s.

Tokatoka Resort will need to win their last pool match against Hideaway Hurricanes to make it to the knockout stages.

Meanwhile, Army and Central Coast 7s champion Northern Surburbs from Australia look good to qualify for the cup quarters after winning both their pool games yesterday.

Emosi Mulevoro was in top form as he scored a try to help Army beat a star studded USA Falcons 21-5 in their last pool match.

Former Samoan 7s player Alex Samoa scored a crucial try for Northern Surburbs as they beat Lepani Nabuliwaqa’s Warwick side 7-nil.

Former Saru Dragons speedster Eroni Lima scored two tries as defending champions Redrock defeated Sigatoka River Safari Warriors 35 5 to keep their title hopes alive.

In other results Ratu Filise defeated Tribe 21-10 while Wardens Green thrashed Pakuranga 26-nil.

The Baileys Fiji Coral Coast 7s continues today at Lawaqa Park.
