Defending Fiji Bitter Marist 7s champions Westfield Babas received a major boost to their title defence after lanky Vodafone Fiji 7s player Pio Tuwai has been cleared to play this weekend.

This was confirmed to Fijivillage by coach Epeli Lagiloa.

Lagiloa said Tuwai was rested during their win at the Martintar 7s over the weekend and is expected to return for training today.

Lagiloa added that they are confident of defending their title.

Apart from Tuwai the side will be boosted with the likes of Asaeli Vula, Vatemo Ravouvou and Samu Saqiwa.

Westfield is pooled with West Roosters from New Zealand, Uluinakau 3 and Nailega from Tailevu.
