Ba lad Pio Tuwai will finally get a chance to impress the national selectors as he is vying for a place in the Digicel Fiji Sevens team to the World Cup Sevens next month.

Tuwai was ruled out of the New Zealand International Sevens tournament after injuring his back but stayed with the team in Wellington.

He has recovered well and will play in the USA Sevens this weekend.

Tuwai's presence will boost the forwards after Fiji failed in kickoffs and line-outs in Wellington last weekend.

Meanwhile, Nadroga's Rupeni Nasiga is out of the USA Sevens and is heading back home this afternoon.

Nasiga injured his knee during the plate semifinal against Wales.

Fiji's opening match at the USA Sevens on Sunday will be at 5:20am.
