Navua Police have arrested and charged a 46 year old Turaga-ni-koro of a village for allegedly attempting to rape a 23 year old woman.
The alleged incident took place this week when the woman was on her way home.
It is alleged that the man attempted to rape her however she managed to free herself and alerted her family.
The 46 year old appeared in the Suva Magistrates court yesterday and was released on bail.
