Lote Tuqiri scored the first try for the Rabbitohs that brought the team back into the game.
Greg Inglis bagged two second half tries after the scores were level 12-all at halftime.
The Rabbitohs will be nervously awaiting the judiciary's charges with hooker Issac Luke on report for a lifting tackle on Sonny Bill Williams.
