West Tigers winger Lote Tuqiri has been added to the Kangaroos squad for the Four Nations tournament as a replacement for the injured Jarryd Hayne.

Hayne's demise completed the comeback of Tuqiri to the very top of rugby league for the former Kangaroos winger.

Parramatta fullback Hayne withdrew from the squad last night with a hamstring injury and Tuqiri will join the Kangaroos in camp today.

He returns to the Australian set-up for the first time in eight years, having played five Tests from 2001-2002.

While Tuqiri's return is big news in Australia, the English are more concerned about a Kiwis superstar.

Forward Gareth Ellis said they're trying to find ways to shut down his Wests Tigers teammate Benji Marshall.

Ellis said the coaching staff are more than aware what a threat Marshall is.

The tournament starts on Saturday when New Zealand plays England in Wellington while the Kangaroos play their first match on Sunday night against Papua New Guinea in Sydney.
