Fiji weightlifter Manueli Tulo has won the bronze medal at the ZKC weightlifting championship in New Caledonia.
Tulo won the medal in the 56kg category with a lift of 219kg. There were 54 competitors from around the world participating in the 56kg category and Tulo's achievement has been praised by his coach Paul Coffa.
He stands a very good chance of winning gold for Fiji at this year's Pacific Mini Games.
Meanwhile Joe Vueti was placed 8th in the 77kg category. Vueti is currently on an Olympic Solidarity Coaching Programme based at the Oceania Weightlifting Centre in Noumea, New Caledonia.
