Team Fiji athlete, Milika Tuivanuavou is aiming to win another gold medal in the women’s Triple Jump final of the Pacific Games at 8pm.

Tuivanuavou who earlier won gold in the women’s shot put will be facing stiff competition from Rellie Kaputin of Papua New Guinea.

Tuivanuavou’s triple jump personal best is 12.86 metres while the record is 12.95 metres. 

Meanwhile Pacific Sprint-King Banuve Tabakaucoro is the favorite to win the men’s 200 metres final after clocking the fastest time in the heats with the time of 21.47sec.

The 200m semi‑finals will start at 6.15pm, while the final will be at 8.45pm. The 4x400m relay finals will also be held at 9.45pm.

Looking at the medal tally, Papua New Guinea is still leading with 53 gold, 45 silver and 41 bronze, New Caledonia is in second place with 47 gold, 38 silver and 39 bronze, Tahiti is now in third with 29 gold,  24 silver and 25 bronze.

Fiji is in fourth place with 26 gold, 33 silver and 26 bronze.
