Tuitoga cannot believe he’s in Fiji 7s team
Tuitoga was spotted by scouts after representing the Suva Grammar School under 19 rugby team on a tour to New Zealand in 2004 and left the country in 2005 after securing a rugby scholarship at the Rotorua Boys High School.
Tuitoga, who is from Lomati, Nabukelevu, Kadavu, is a utility player and has played for North Harbour in the Air New Zealand Cup and also represented Auckland twice in the abbreviated code.
The 26-year-old said he has been part of the New Zealand sevens camps but was not eligible to play.
Tuitoga said he is excited to play alongside Fijian players that he always looked up to.
Fiji’s first game in the Dubai 7s is against USA at 8.16pm this Friday, then Canada at 12.46am Saturday before facing England in their last pool match at 5.02am Saturday.
