Tuisolia always reimbursed AFL for personal expenses
This was highlighted as AFL's Annual reports and financial statements for 2005 to 2007 were scrutinized today by Defense counsel Devinesh Sharma who continued to cross examine Anjala Mishra this morning.
After being shown the annual reports, Mishra agreed that the documents were approved by the Directors and that during Tuisolia's reign as CEO, two independent auditors were brought in to scrutinize the company's finances.
The FICAC witness was also asked to read a clause in the annual report which confirmed that the directors of AFL had not come across any unusual expenses or any discrepancies with the financial accounts.
Mishra then also confirmed that Tuisolia would put notes where he used the credit card for personal expenses and make arrangements to reimburse AFL for the amounts.
She said the former CEO never defaulted with the reimbursements.
The witness was than shown the receipts confirming payments for reimbursements to AFL by Tuisolia and she also confirmed that the receipts were provided during audits of AFL's finances.
Mishra also revealed that she prepared a final salary payment for Tuisolia at the end of his tenure in December 2006 and $1700 was reimbursed by Tuisolia as it was for personal expenses incurred during his two recent trips to the Gold Coast.
The trial continues this afternoon.
