Tuilevu breaks long jump record
Tuilevu made a jump of 5.74 metres yesterday and broke the Old record set by Banuve Tabakaucoro of 5.60 metres, set in 2005.
Alesi Ranadi of Cakaudrove also equaled the record in the under 9 girls long jump, the old record set by Litia Vosadina of Lautoka in 2004.
Katarina Sova from Taveuni/Qamea broke the Under 14 girls 400 meters record in the heats after she ran the race in 1.01.05 and the old time stands at 1.01.3 set by Temalesi Marama of Ra in 2006.
Other seeded records are in the girls under 14, 4x100 metres relay team where Suva ran in a time of 51.77 seconds and the old time set by Suva 2 is 52.5 seconds.
The other seeded record is in the 4x100 metres Under 13 Boys relay team where Suva set a new time of 47.72 seconds, and the old time stands at 47.99 seconds.
Competition continues at the TFL stadium.
