The Tui Wailevu is calling on the Agriculture Ministry to have a tour of their area and provide some sort of assistance to the villagers.
Ratu Kinijoji Maivalili said that there is a gap regarding agricultural assistance between the people of Wailevu Village in Savusavu and the government.
However Maivalili said that after many years of being neglected by previous governments, the current government has done some development work in the area but more can still be done.
Maivalili said that the people of 29 villages in Wailevu earn their living by fishing and selling their crops such as tavioka and other root crops and vegetables.
