The Tui Tavuki has welcomed the visit by Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama as it allowed them to air their grievances on how they have for years been given the run around by former governments.

Tui Tavuki Ratu Joni Duikete said for years promises have been made by former governments on development projects however, nothing ever eventuated and they were always given the same excuse that the matter was being looked into.

Tui Tavuku said they had a lengthy meeting with Bainimarama and were happy that government officials who were part of the delegation were told to look into their grievances which have been pending for many years.

Following the traditional welcome yesterday the people of Tavuki told the Prime Minister, that if his Government continues to get opposition, then they should continue to lead Fiji beyond 2014 to achieve all their planned reforms, and development programs.
