The Chiefs of the Namosi Provincial Council were grateful to hear that Namosi province has the lowest number of inmates in jail.

This was revealed by the Prisons and Correctional Department Yellow Ribbon spokesperson, Sireli Dausiga who made presentations to the Council members yesterday.

Dausiga told the chiefs that out of the fourteen provinces in the country only six inmates who are currently facing prison sentences are from Namosi.

One of the inmates who is facing a murder charge is from the village of Wainikululuva in Namosi and is currently sitting a certificate course at Training and Productivity Authority of Fiji.

Meanwhile Tui Namosi, Ratu Suliano Matanitobua has accepted the invitation from the Prisons Commander, Iowane Naivalurua requesting the Namosi chiefs to visit the prisons department.
