The Tui Macuata, Ratu Aisea Katonivere is expected to speak to the police in Vanua Levu today to offer the assistance of the Vanua to crack the major drug network now detected by the Fiji Police Force.
Ratu Aisea said the drug problem is now definitely at their doorstep and they need to do something now to assist the police in tracking down the marijuana cultivators and peddlers.
He said while a major drug bust occurred in Seaqaqa a few days ago, the worrying issue is that a number of cases have gone undetected.
The Tui Macuata will meet with the police this afternoon.
