David Tua has given his seal of approval to Sonny Bill William’s boxing efforts.

New Zealand’s top slugger joined Williams for a training session in Auckland today ahead of the All Blacks’ heavyweight clash with Alipate Liava’a on Sunday night.

Tua, similar in height and build to Liava’a was happy to pass on some tips as Williams shadow boxed with his main trainer, Aussie great Anthony Mundine.

Williams said he was feeling good about the fight although it is difficult mixing his boxing training in the heart of the Super Rugby campaign.
