The Nadi weather office has confirmed that the tropical depression that was located North West of the Fiji group between Rotuma and Fiji yesterday has weakened overnight and no longer poses any threat to Fiji.
However, weatherman Rajendra Prasad confirms that the Tropical depression is no longer a threat but people should not take this as a time to relax.
Prasad also said that due to active South Pacific Pacific Convergence Zone over the group there is a strong wind warning in place for Kadavu, Koro and the Lau waters.
A mist south easterly wind flow over Fiji is expected to cause rainfall over the weekend.
