The tropical depression that is expected to pass over the Northern parts of the country is currently moving closer to Vanua Levu and was lying North West of Vanua Levu as of midnight last night.
National weather forecasting director, Rajendra Prasad said that residents are expected to experience heavy rainfall at times and heavy wind.
Meanwhile, the Nadi weather office said this weather could affect small boat operators and those who are at sea should come back to land.
