The Nadi Weather Office warns that a tropical depression which is slowly headed towards Fiji is expected to develop and transform into a Tropical Cyclone within 6 to 12 hours.
Center Director Rajendra Prasad said the system lies west of Vanuatu and will bring strong winds and heavy rainfall to the western and south-western parts of Fiji from tomorrow as the system will move eastwards initially but curve southeast as it nears Fiji.
Meanwhile, flash flood warning is still in place for Vanua Levu, Taveuni, nearby islands, Lau Lomaiviti and Koro group as heavy rain is expected tonight.
