The naming of the Vodafone Fiji 7s 16 member squad to prepare for the next leg of the World Sevens Series has been shifted to next week as there are some injury concerns in the side.
Coach Ben Ryan said playmaker Jerry Tuwai and Aisake Katonibau are carrying injuries and they need more time to assess these players before they announce the final 12 member team.
Players that are expected to make the final cut for the New Zealand 7s include Osea Kolinisau, Savenaca Rawaca, Semi Kunatani, Samisoni Viriviri, Benito Masilevu, Apisai Domolailai and Apisalome Waqatabu.
Ryan confirmed to Fijivillage that from the 20 players that are currently in camp, only 19 will return to camp next week as Suva Stallions prop Vatemo Taniharava has been cleared to play in the Darwin 7s this weekend.
Meanwhile, the New Zealand 7s will be held on the 6th and 7th of next month and the Vodafone Fiji 7s team is pooled with Australia, Wales and Portugal.
