As the Independent Tribunal appointed by the President to conduct an inquiry against the suspended Chief Justice Daniel Fatiaki starts its work this morning, it has been confirmed that Suva Laywer Grahaem Leung will represent Fatiaki before the Tribunal.

Speaking to Village News Justice Fatiaki confirmed that he will not appear before the tribunal to answer to the allegations and referred all questions to Leung.

When contacted by Village News, Leung said he would appear before the tribunal on Fatiaki's behalf and said he was not in a position to make any further comments at this stage.

It has been confirmed that the three member Tribunal will have its preliminary hearing this morning to finalize a timetable to conduct the inquiry.

Six charges have been drawn up against Fatikai on allegations of misbehavior dating back to May 2000.
