The New Employment Relations Tribunal is expected to make a decision today on the dispute filed by trade unions for civil servants pay restoration to be backdated.

Speaking to Fijivillage, Fiji Teachers Union General Secretary, Agni Deo Singh said they do not agree with the decision made by the Public Service Commission not to backdate the 5% pay restoration.

Labour Ministry Officials earlier confirmed that their Disputes Committee referred the matter to Tribunal after they were unable to bring the two parties including PSC and Trade Unions to the negotiating table for a resolution

The matter will called in chambers at 10am today.
