A trial date has been set for the former members of the Fiji Broadcasting Corporation Limited (FBCL) Daniel Whippy and Champak Kapadia who are charged with obtaining money by False pretense.

The two appeared in the Suva High Court yesterday for a determining of a trial date.

The two had earlier pleaded not guilty to the charge and are expected appear in Court for trial on the 18th of May.

It is alleged that on March 19th in 2004, Whippy who was the Chairman for FBCL and Deputy Chairman, Kapadia, with intent to defraud had procured the offer of an advance of $1,030,000 from Westpac Bank for a factious resolution.
