Big game. High stakes. Zero World Cup relevance.

That was the simple message from All Blacks coach Graham Henry ahead of today’s Tri Nations deciding clash against the Wallabies at Suncorp.

He said if one looks at history especially at the last RWC, they played France in France before the last World Cup, won by 40-odd points however France gave them a hiding in the quarterfinal.

And stats showed the All Blacks own the Wallabies, having won 11 of their last 13 contests, and it’s also been a decade since the Wallabies have won the Tri Nations so it can’t do any harm to keep their confidence meter on the downward beat.

The game between the All Blacks and the Wallabies is at 10pm tonight.
