Residents of Tavua and Ba felt slight tremors late last night.

Ba Police confirms receiving reports about tremors around 10pm however there are no reports of damages.

Nadi Weather office said the tremors were felt for about 3 seconds and has assured that there are no threats of a tsunami.

Meanwhile, the US Geological Survey recorded an earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale located south of Fiji.

The Mineral resources Department expected to release more information later this morning.
