With the new tourism markets opening up for Fiji, people should be friendly in terms of treating tourists with respect.
Those were the comments from Dixon Seeto, the President of the Fiji Islands Hotels and Tourism Association at the Tourism Forum meeting 2010 over the weekend.
Seeto said the friendly welcome should begin from when the tourist gets off the plane.
Tourism Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum stressed that with more visitors from China, India and the Middle East now gracing our shores, all stakeholders need to change their attitude towards them to ensure they feel welcomed.
