New Zealand's level of travel advisory against Fiji remains unchanged.

The advisory still calls on New Zealanders to take precaution while in the country or planning to visit Fiji.

It said although everything is calm in the country however, public sector strikes and industrial action have been foreshadowed for the coming weeks.

It said Police checkpoints still remain in place at night and is calling on all New Zealand tourists to be security conscious at all times and take great care with cash and credit cards.
