The Transport Ministry is calling on members of the public to come forward with any evidence of corruption they have regarding the Land Transport Authority (LTA).
This is after an investigation into corruption within the LTA was ordered by Transport Minister Timoci Natuva with G.Lal and Company appointed by the Authority to conduct an Information Technology Audit.
Ministry Spokesperson Sainiana Waqainabete said they do need help with the matter.
The audit will include the illegal issue of drivers license cards via the registration and licensing system, illegal cancellation or deletion or reduction of LTA traffic infringement notices, fines and penalties in the computerized registration and licensing system, along with other corruption and irregular risk exposure resulting in loss of LTA revenue.
Last year, two LTA officials were sacked after they were caught to have accepted money from drivers who were booked and fined.
