The transfer window for soccer players from a district joining another district will close today, but it is unclear how many players have been given releases from the teams to play for other districts.
Fiji Football Association CEO Bob Kumar said that a number of districts have applied for the release of players from other teams and they will have to wait for another 14 days before a decision will be made.
Earlier on this week the Lautoka Soccer team was trying to get the release of Ba players Tuimasi Manuca, Malakai Tiwa, Jone Vesikula and Niumaia Tagi to join them this season.
But there is still no confirmation on whether these players will be released by Ba.
Other players that are likely to join Lautoka are Ben Aminio, Netani Momoivalu and Waisake Sabutu of Nadi.
Other districts that will get players from other teams include Navua, who are likely to have national goal-keeper Simione Tamanisau from Rewa,while Labasa has not confirmed which players are leaving their district.
