Police are now awaiting the post mortem report of a 32 year old man who was allegedly abducted from his house in Manoca, Nausori last night and was later found dead in Vishnu Deo road Nakasi.
Divisional Crime Officer Eastern ASP Arthur White has confirmed that they are still looking for the group of youths who allegedly forcefully took Sukul Deo from his home in a van.
He said they will decide tomorrow on when the post mortem will be conducted.
According to the report police received, the deceased was at his home celebrating Diwali with his family when a group of youths entered his house and allegedly abducted him.
They then took him away in a van.
His family lodged a report with Nausori Police station soon after the incident, however after some time, they received a call from police to come and identify his body which was found in Vishnu Deo road Nakasi at around 7.30pm.
Some residents also saw a Pajero beside the body.
Police said they have not ruled out foul play however the cause of death will determine the line of investigations.

A Nausori family is mourning the death of their sole breadwinner who was allegedly abducted from his house and was later found dead in Vishnu Deo road Nakasi last night.
Deputy Director Police Operations SP Erami Raibe said according to the report they received, the deceased a 32 year old Sukul Deo was at his home celebrating Diwali with his family when a group of youths entered his house and allegedly abducted him.
They then took him away in a van.
His family lodged a report with Nausori Police station soon after the incident, however after some time, they received a call from police to come and identify his body which was found in Vishnu Deo Road Nakasi at around 7.30pm.
SP Raibe said some residents also saw a Pajero beside the body.
According to Raibe, a driver of another vehicle has also been questioned and released.
