A fund setup by the family of New Zealand woman Rebecca Stockwall who died while on her honeymoon in Fiji last month will be probably be used to promote water safety and to help children.

Stockwall who got married a week before her death went snorkeling in the Matamanoa Waters with her husband when a 20 foot aluminium boat on its way to the hotel accidently hit her causing severe head injuries, resulting in her death.

Stockwall's father, Mark Crawley told Marlborough Express that safety in resorts was becoming more important as more powerful boats were being used and the fund will be probably used to promote water safety. He said nothing will be 100% safe but it would prevent another family from going through the same thing they are going through.

He said they are still working out the details of the fund however some money will be used in Fiji.
