Traffic Police operations around the country will continue from today as the Police Force tries to put a hold on the increasing number of road fatalities.

A number of people get arrested in the weekends for drunk and driving and this is a major contributor to road fatalities.

People have been warned not to drive when under the influence of alcohol and not to speed on the highway.

Meanwhile, a 38yr old man died after the vehicle he was travelling in went off the road in Sovi Bay, Sigatoka on Thursday afternoon.

The man was travelling with the 32yr old driver and another passenger when the accident took place.
