Disruptions to traffic at the Laqere Bridge and the road leading to Suva continues from 9 this morning to 4pm today and again tomorrow from 9am to 4pm.
Works Ministry information officer Sainiana Waqainabete confirmed disruptions are due to the laying of the pillars for the Laqere Bridge and asked the travelling public to bear with them and exercise a little patience.
Waqainabete said disruptions are likely to last three hours at any one time and has advised travelers to use the back road to and from Nausori where possible to avoid disappointment.
The $7.6 million project which is expected to end late next month is undergoing some further widening as the Public Works Department is widening the road into 4 lanes.
